We were lucky enough to spend a day in Rome searching for interesting suppliers that we can add to our portfolio. Here is a selection of our favourite finds.

Rubelli are a 200 year old Venetian fabric and design house. They have supplied velvet for the Italian royal family, damask for La Scala opera house in Milan and the Bolshoi theatre from its mill near Como. We particularly love their floral wallpaper which we saw in a room near the Trevi fountain.

Via Margutta is a treasure trove of interesting antique shops and luxury home decor stores.
These one of a kind brass and mineral lamp bases would look very stylish on a glamorous sideboard.

It was great to see lots of artisan leather makers, picture framers and guilders working in the centre of the city.

Another favourite find was the Maurizio Grossi gallery. It is a treasure trove of marble statues, sculptures, tables and columns.

And finally there are two large Frette linen stores in Rome. This historical Italian linen store has beautiful range of sheets, tablecloths and nightware. Found in the Ritz and the Orient express it is the definition of luxury!
